Josie + Adan Intimate Groveland Wedding Lillaskog Lodge

This year has thrown us so many curveballs I've genuinely lost count. What this has meant is a new way to celebrate love, and by a new way to celebrate, I mean surrounding yourself with your closest loved ones and tying the knot in the most intimate of spaces. When Josie and Adan reached out to me searching for a photographer in the Yosemite area for their Groveland wedding, they told me their story and just how long they have been together. Having spent the past decade together, these two saw their chance and ran with it when the pandemic hit. Saying, "screw it," let's just get married!

I sat next to their close friends and current housemates at dinner, and they were entirely in tears and over the moon, excited that their friends were finally going to be husband and wife. They told me stories of all the nights Adan had brought home flowers for Josie and their trips to their favorite places to eat. I could see this love reflected throughout the day as J+A looked at one another. From their first-look to their "I do," tears were shed, and the feeling of love was everywhere in this beautiful space.

Josie + Adan really set out to craft a day that truly represented themselves and their love. From their gorgeous wedding details like their vow books to the TASTY food at cocktail hour and reception. There was so much care put into this day. When I had first got there early in the morning, Josie's dad was making food for everyone in the kitchen while she was getting her makeup done in the cutest cabin ever. I had a chance to chat with Josie's dad, who I learned made dinner for everyone the previous night, was making food now, and would also be officiating the ceremony in a few hours. WOW! Every wedding day is so unique, and J+A really made their special day absolutely perfect :)
