Wedding overlooking Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay | Central Coast Wedding Photographer
During this past month of May, Carley and Sean held their wedding at Chaminade Resort & Spa where they said their "I Do's" atop the hills overlooking Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay. C&S met playing for a recreation Co-Ed softball team and it was an instant attraction between them. A post-game beer was shared and they have been inseparable ever since!
In the weeks leading up to their wedding, C&S reached out to me saying their one desire for the day was that they would, "DIE for a golden hour photo or two." Let me tell you, the coastal light did us wonders that evening and more than one or two golden hour photos were included.
TIP:
Be sure when planning your wedding and speaking with your photographer to include a gap of time near sunset for you and your partner to take a few moments to yourselves, joined by your photographer to capture a few special golden hour portraits. I promise you will not regret it. These will be the photos you print and hang in your home. In the wise words of Carley, "Your day, your way."
Looking back at their special day and at an equally amazing venue, there were so many unique touches the two added that really made their wedding fit their personalities. Carley reached out to me and told me about her desire to have a special private first look with her dad where she planned to give him a special hand-made tie. The moment was shared before the ceremony in a beautiful part of the resort where the light hit the staircase perfectly. There were tears all around as they saw each other for the first time. A few of Carley's bridesmaids were close by holding tissues for the tears that were streaming down everyone's faces after watching such a beautiful moment. The tie had a photo of baby Carley on it so that her dad could always have his little girl with him.
If you are looking for a venue that can accommodate the amazing views of the mountains but you also want a little coastal inclusion, look no further for the ideal venue other than Chaminade Resort & Spa. The venue is located on a 300-acre hilltop with breathtaking views of Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz. The newly renovated resort offers an atmosphere of luxury, charm, and tranquility for your special day. No better place to say "I do" than surrounded by a dramatic redwood and eucalyptus forest, lush green lawns, and stunning views of the sparkling Monterey Bay.
A special thank you to all the vendors who I worked with on this day. If you are looking for vendors who service the central coast, the team below is fantastic and will be sure to bring your dream wedding to life.
