Intimate weddings and Elopements are seriously such a blast and so amazing to capture. Jem & Huy reached out to me to capture their intimate wedding at Shaver Lake in a cute cabin they rented while visiting family in California. While it was a bit of a last-minute idea (they planned their wedding in about 48 hours), it was also so beautiful and romantic :)
Jem wanted a winter wedding with all the snow and magic. Unfortunately, we are having a bit of a dry winter here in California, but that didn't stop us from finding a few patches and making it happen. It has always been a dream to capture a snowy winter wedding–if this is your plan, reach out to me ASAP, and we can make it happen–so getting just a taste of it was pure perfection!
With the planning short, Jem went all out and made a lot of the decor herself with her family's help. Personal touches like the flower wall she made and the dyed petals to match her wedding colors make such a difference.
J&H rented out the cutest cabin in Shaver to have their ceremony surrounded by their close family members. It was truly the absolute definition of an intimate wedding! Although the snow would have made it even more magical, we all had such a blast capturing and celebrating J&Hs love for each other. We then took a short drive to the lake and found some cute places for couple photos after the ceremony. We all just ran around and had a blast while trying not to slip on the ice! Trust me I almost fell so many times I lost count–totally worth it!
