I KNOW I won't soon be forgetting this incredible session with Maggie & Thaniel! Not only was the light absolutely perfect and served the coolest rustic-country vibes, but these two cuties were terrific and had the BEST energy! While being the last of my 2020 engagement couples, M+T just so happened to be my first 2021 wedding couples :) HOW COOL IS THAT!
It may not look like it, but this barn was located just off the highway, surrounded by an almond orchard. You wouldn't think this magical location would be in such a place but let me tell you, it was PERFECT! Sometimes keeping a session more on the simple side can also create the most magical photos.
One of the biggest reasons I recommend my couples booking their engagement session with me is that it gives us a fantastic opportunity to get to know one another while capturing some pretty incredible photos too! Engagement sessions allow my couples to feel more comfortable behind the camera, especially if it has been a long time since they had professional photos taken OR have never had professional photos taken whatsoever!
If you are in the category of never having your photos taken, don't sweat it! Surprisingly enough, most couples I have worked with have never had their photos taken, and I have been their first experience. I will let you in on a little secret, NONE of my couples are models, and NONE of the moments captured aren't genuine. I am a documentary photographer who captures the raw, authentic moments between my couples. Meaning, we don't just roll through stiff poses. Instead, we get the opportunity to be silly, sing out loud to our favorite tunes, and spray champagne EVERYWHERE!
