Modesto, CA Wedding photographer | The Downtown Century Modesto Wedding
More often than not, the weddings I get the honor to photograph involve hours of driving and typically involve the entire day. I have begun wedding days at three in the morning with a sunrise first look at Glacier Point in Yosemite followed by a valley ceremony, and still, the day doesn't end until after the sun has set. While I love working in the breathtaking mountains of Yosemite National Park, but I am located in Turlock, Ca. While there is not a view of half-dome for many miles, there are amazing venues in the area, such as The Downtown Century, where Ruby & Cameron shared their special day.
When booking a wedding with me, I recommend all of my couples book their engagement session as well. Engagement sessions offer an incredible opportunity for us to work together, especially if you feel awkward behind the camera or if this is your first experience. CHECK OUT THIS AMAZING ENGAGEMENT SESSION! Engagement sessions are fantastic, but not every couple wants one of these sessions. R&C decided they would rather not have an engagement and instead invest in their guests because family was so important to them. In doing so, I had not had the chance to meet R&C before their wedding. Still, luckily, my couple lives near me, so I was able to chat with Ruby in person before their wedding, which was a fantastic opportunity for us to break the ice and finalize the last few wedding details.
While I love meeting my couples before the wedding, it is not always possible without an engagement session. More often than not, my couples are not located in California and travel great distances to make it out here, so when I do get the opportunity to meet with a local client, it is such a pleasure!
