Yosemite National Park Elopement | Yosemite Destination Wedding Photographer
Planning a wedding from a different state can be difficult. There are a lot of complex intricacies that go into organizing these events, and many of my couples go through this similar process for their Yosemite National Park weddings. More often than not, the couples I get the pleasure of photographing in the National Park are not from California and are instead from an entirely different state. Ruel reached out to me after his fiance found my work on Instagram and knew she wanted me to be her photographer. At the time, Ruel was located in the Philippines and Karren in Texas. We all joined in on several zoom meetings to coordinate the day and made sure we all knew the plan, especially since they had never been to Yosemite National Park before.
R&K shared their unique, intimate wedding surrounded by a few close friends during their ceremony at El Capitan Meadow in Yosemite Valley. Even though planning a wedding involving international travel was a bit stressful, it was all worth it. The park could not have been more beautiful, and all of the personal details R&K incorporated made the day special and representative of their love.
Leading up to their special day there was a chance Yosemite would experience a winter storm that would bring several inches of snow. With knowledge of the winter storm in mind, R&K did not mind and bought matching white snow jackets because they were determined to get married. Check out their matching Calvin Klein snow jackets below! Luckily, the storm came early, and by the time we arrived in the valley, most of the powder had melted.
The process involved many unknowns, and even though part of the wedding was planned from a different country, everything went perfectly and truly could not have been better!
